We have it confirmed that Marie Mazelis, formerly the creative director at Herve Leger and Max Azria, is no longer with the company. We received an anonymous tip over the weekend saying she quit for unknown reasons and that her New York runway show may be cancelled. BCBG Max Azria Group’s vice president of public relations sent us the following official statement:
After many years of dedicated work with BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP, Marie Mazelis, Creative Director, Herve Leger/Max Azria, who reported directly into Chief Creative Officer BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP, Lubov Azria, will no longer be with the company. We wish Marie all the best in her endeavors.Herve Leger Skirts are best Herve Leger Dress for Women.So, you’ll still have plently of bandage dresses to look forward to. However, they declined to comment on the fate of the Max Azria Spring 2012 runway show for the time being.Our tipster also pointed out this recent job listing on Stylecareers.com, looking for a designer for Herve Leger, suggesting the company may be looking for some sort of replacement.Mazelis had been with the company since graduating from Parsons in 2000. No word yet on what her next move will be.
